Beach Walking in Northern Spain
There is something freeing about walking barefoot along a sandy beach: it’s that feeling of sand between the toes, the cool rush of a wave that seems to take your cares back into the ocean as it recedes, an open view to the horizon that puts life into perspective.
In northern Spain they have beaches made for walking – inviting, flat, curving crescents of firm golden sand. And in the land of the Paseo that is just what the people do; shoes and bag in hand on a lunch break, sociably on family outings, romantically hand in hand …. what better way to relax, take exercise and refresh the mind?
