I always look forward to attending ITB Berlin, the big travel fair held each March, not only is it a great show but it means I get the chance to know this fascinating city just a little bit more each year. Like most visitors to Berlin events surrounding the Berlin Wall and the city’s unique position in the cold war years were my first focus and there are several evocative exhibitions and museums, walks and cycle rides too to take you through this territory. But there is so much more to Berlin; a vibrant art and fashion scene, symbolic architecture, shopping oportunities from big stores to the quirky – I love the distinctive boutiques you find all over the city – then there’s the notorious nightlife and culture galore – around 180 museums I believe.
